MAC Question

Ive been downloading some music files but they are .rar files and I can't figure out how to open them on my mac. Is there some program i need to convert them to .zip or what?

rar is kind of like zip. use this program to open them up and you'll get a normal folder.

this is not a mac question you idiot..

.rar's are just compressed files, and you need to un-compress them to get your audio tracks out. You do this by getting unrarx or a similar program.

Goggle "unrarx" download it, then open the .rar files with unrarx

how is this is a  mac question? .rar files can be downloaded on both PC and Mac, and yeah I was a little harsh, but if he even remotely looked for help before posting he would have found it. and its not like the other thread was inappropriately labeled so it was hard to find or anything

its a mac question because he needs a program that works on a mac. if he downloaded winrar that wouldn't do him much good....
