What are some good video editing programs???

i am looking into buying some software to edit videos and i actually dont have any idea on anything or what and i just want to get into editing some videos and makeing them sweet somehow

got any ideas? thanks

if you have a mac, imovie can get you started, but youre going to want to get final cut express or final cut pro if you wanna do anything beyond imovie's abilities. i dont know much about pc's but if you have one i think you'll want to buy adobe premiere

yeahh for macs, use final cut or imovie. for windows there are tons, but premiere is very good and sony vegas also.

thanks yah i have a pc and i really wish i owned a mac cause i think there alot better
but dang thats some expensive stuff like $450 and $800 haha thats crazy

Hey, I"m a complete NOOB when it comes to video editing. But I got Sony Vegas 8, and I really like it. It took me just a couple hours to get used to it (with many youtube tutorials). And I"m pretty sure you can pick it up off ebay for $75 or so. Earlier versions are probably cheaper.

By the way, here's my first edit, feel free to comment/hate.

Just get the premiere pro trial and crack it, its not that hard or you could also torrent like the other guy said but its not as safe and well if you got a mac use final cut and crak it cuz i dont think you wanna pay like 800$ for a program
