Accutane

has anyone on NS ever taken accutane?

i was reading up on it, and theres a possibility of it not working. So im just wondering how it worked for you guys

no, it wont. people who legit think this, dont have a severe problem with acne. I have had a flawless diet, plus workout regimine, plus was out in the sun, and had awful acne.


i tried sooo many Rx pills and creams, and accutane was the only one that made a significant difference.

Not trying to sound mean or anything here... And i have never had problems with bad acne, so i cant really talk... but couldnt you just leave the pimples and not pop them? i mean they didnt have accutane or creams or acne treatment 100 years ago and those people dealt with it.

I'm just saying cuz this accutane stuff sounds really bad... i mean is it worth it for a clear face?

again, im not in a position to make a fair judgement. Just some thoughts.

Not trying to sound mean or anything here... And i have never had problems with bad cancer, so i cant really talk... but couldnt you just leave the tumors and not pop them? i mean they didnt have MRI's or chemotherapy 100 years ago and those people dealt with it.

READ THIS: ACCUTANE DID IN FACT HELP MY ACNE. BUT IT ALSO GAVE ME THE CHAPPEST LIPS AND DRYEST MOTHER FUCKING FACE.

LOOK AT THE POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES OF ACCUTANE. IT IS A SERIOUSSSS MEDICINE.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE ACNE THEN DO IT BEFORE YOU PUT YOURSELF ON THIS SHIT.

imo accutane is only if you have bad (scarring) acne, honestly the best thing you can do is not care, people dont actualy notice it unless your constantly worried about it

i used to try all kinds of acne treatment but itd only work for a few days/weeks and then it'd get worse. then i just got fed up and stopped caring, figuring i might as well live with it, and like within a month it pretty much went away.

My friend went on acutane and he had pretty bad acne. He has no acne now but he had VERY dry skin when he was on it like his lips would bleed and his face was crusty as fuck if he didnt put cream on it. Also drinking on it fucks your liver. He drank on it and he got floored. But I take tetrocyclien (No clue how to spell it) and it keeps my acne under controll and takes away the redness. So look into that if your acne is really bad but you need to do something about it

be careful with some meds you can take - my brother took some pills for acne and he became really suicidal - did some research on these pills (forgot what they are called) and i found out that they can cause suicidal tendencies in some people - I got him to change meds and he became happy again.... quite a scary time of my life caused just by some ance pills...

...saying that they did clear his skin up!!

acne sucks... i had it a little bit and even just a couple pimples would make me lose all self confidence. I use nuetrogena and it works pretty well. But honestly time is the best cure for acne in my opinion...

that shit sucks man! i never took accutane, but i had to get a colonoscopy for similar symptoms that i had been having for 2 months straight back in February. Turns out i had moderate UC, but once I knew that for sure (vs. something more serious) and started taking some meds for it, things cleared up in about 3 weeks completely and i am pretty much back to normal now as far as i can tell. and stress does not cause it directly, but it does prevent your body from healing a lot of problems. so good luck with that!
