i'm going to aspen for a month and i need to get myself a pair of skis while i'm there. i bought a pair of public enemys down here (i'm in australia) at the end of our season but i haven't had the chance to ride them yet, and i can't take them because of luggage constraints. i'm looking for a stiff twin that's good for carving groomers. i ski pretty fast and carve hard so i want a ski that's going to have as little chatter and as best edge hold as possible.
i've narrowed my choice down to the following:
trouble makers (i nearly bought them this season, but went for the PE's instead)
4frnt MSP's (do they have enough sidecut for carving? they seem pretty straight, but i hear they're stiff so that's good)
Armada AR5's - i'm not sure i'll even be able to find these in aspen, but i've heard they're stiff and carve well
Fujatives - i read the review on the other forum about these, but i'm still worried they're too park specific. since i'll probably be spending most of my time out of the park (can't afford any injuries) i'm not too sure how good they'll be for me. but some reports say they hold an edge really well so i have no idea.
last time i was in aspen the snow was fucking hard and pretty icy, and i'm a pessimist so i don't expect to be skiing that much pow (especially not if CO's in a drought). to give you an indication of the kind of flex i like in my skis, i think the salomon crossmax are noodles. if you can help me out with my choice i'd appreciate it. cheers!
