Holden Size

Okay so im looking at getting a Holden suit for next season and decided on the Declan jacket in blue and Everett pant in charcoal.  But i am stuck between what size to order.  The jacket is available in medium and x-large and im worried the medium will be short in the sleeves and overall length but think the xl would just look dumb since its supposed to be a more fitting jacket.  The pants are available in medium and large and im not as worried about these sizes because im i dont mind the pants being tight but a medium with xl would look stupid.  I am 5'8"-9" and 140-150lbs.  So i just want peoples opinions and if youve tried either on or have them i would appreciate it if you could let me know how they fit.  Thanks in advance

Im not sure how to paste an excel spreadsheet onto here, so i'll just type out the sizing chart that a Holden rep emailed me because i could never find one....Oh and im 6'2" and wear Large standard pants, fit is perfect for me but im not sure what look youre going for.

Coats (in inches)
Chest: M=38-40 L=41-43 XL=44-46
Sleeve length from Center Back: M=34 L=35 XL=36
Neck: M=15-16 L=16-17 XL=17-18

Pants (in inches)
Waist: M=31-33 L=34-36 XL=37-39
Hip: M=37-39 L=40-43 XL=43-45
Inseam: M=30-31 L=32-33 XL=34-36

As you can see the differences are pretty small, so im sure an XL jacket would still look "fitted" with large pants being just right...

thanks for the chart.. not sure how im supposed to measure for sleeve length but i just measured from the tip of my index finger to the top of my shoulder and it was thirty inches so it looks like xl would be waayyy too long.. and as for the look im going for something similar in tightness as what martin boulais has in his superunknown edit

Measure from your wrist area to the middle of your neck or maybe a little lower (center of your back) and see what that gets you. But yea for your size XL will be big, so if you are going for tight then medium jacket, small pants? I mean if you want them that tight just keep going down sizes until its tight enough. Or sew them in.

with my arm extended straight out it is 30 inches from the heel of my hand to the middle of my neck so it looks like medium jack and medium pants then maybe get the pants taylored..  One more question, would the length of the coat from collar to bottom be about the same as the sleeve length give or take a couple inches?

eh im not sure, if i had to guess then yea, give or take a few inches, but i dont own a jacket so i wouldnt know.

im the same height/weight as you and mediums are still pretty big if your looking for tight pants. even smalls ive sewn up

hey guys! sorry for bumping a 4 year old thread but if anyone can tell me does the waist fit big? ive had pants that fit in size 32 and tried another that i cant even fit into 34...my question again is do they fit big?
