Harry Kalas Died sad day in baseball

Harry died at 73 and the weird thing and sad thing is that i saw him at the ring ceremony a week before he died and i know his son very well.

he was the voice of NFL Films too. probably one of the most recognizable voices in the sports world. RIP.

they just played the clip of harry announcing the game when the phils won the series, that shit gave me the chills....

I watched the game yesterday listening to him broadcast. Was in so much shock when I heard he died, I almost couldn't watch the game today.

Howard hit his 3 run shot and my 3 year old son who was sittin next to me calls out "That ball is Outta Hereeeee" in true Harry style, almost brought tears to my eyes.

Harry, You will be missed. The games will never be the same.

yeah i am still a little choked up about it.   listened to him sunday then monday gone.  scott franzke said it best, when you watch baseball its suppose to sound a certain way, that way was harry.  i grew up with his voice every summer.  i would always be pissed when the phils played the game of the week on national coverage and it would be some asshole like joe buck announcing or in the playoffs i just want to hear harry!  LA could barrly speak covering the game yesterday.  it is a sad sad day for baseball.  no more michael jack schmitt's no more mitchie poo's no more that ball is outta here!  everytime i watch the phils i will still here his voice.
