yea they work my friend just got some. he fell right on his ass on a big jump and didnt even care. all the pro boarders are wearing them now especially in urban, the guys are wearing knee pads, elbow pads, back pads, and shorts.
there's a reason its called snowboarding......it's snowing!!!

i sport the fuck out of a pair of mountain boarding shorts.....i weigh 190 and can pretty much take a rail straight to the hip without getting phased (bought them because my season would be over if my bare hip hit one more rail/ice patch)
