This will also be posted in the Build-A-Jib 101 Cult, I just figured I would get more a response from the Ski Gabber.
Obviously it's not done yet, I'll also be posting more pictures as the building continues and of the finished product.

Here's my basic questions:

1. Clearly this is just the drop in/off section of the jib itself, so I'm wondering what the length pipe sections I should be using for the rails themselves. I want to be able to make a ton of different varieties of setups, like DFD, DF, FDF, FD, ect.
2. What diameter and thickness of pipe I need.
3. Any general advice or comments you could give me.

If anyone has any questions or comments about this, just PM me.
I'm more than willing to give you the dimensions or even mail you my plans if you really want them.

do like 4 angled rails that are like 6 feet long and 2 and a half feet at the highest point, 1 ft out of the lowest,and just use 2 pieces of pvc that has a diameter of 2 inches, works perfect, then you can join the rails to make dfd/fdf/fd/ all that

You could use snowgel too.   I read the thread on that stuff, and they were saying that it makes drop ins way fast.  Bobby Brown had a sick rail/box kind of thing in his back yard.  Supposedly it's six 10 foot long 1in od white pvc, attached to a 2 x 6.  It would be a good cheap way for you to get started.   Set it up as a down and then make your dfd's once you get the feel for it.  I was pricing it out yesterday and I think I could build one for less than $20.  Also the transition on your drop in from down to flat should be tapered a little.  You could just lay another small piece of plywood down on the seam and that would make it smoother.

all these three rails could be optional, this was from my setup, and they all worked sick, not all the same dimensions as you but, it could work, and i put 2, 1 inch pvc tubes on the rails

how close are the rails together though?

we are having 3 flat sections of 1ft, 2.5ft, and 4 ft.  there are supports for this, and 2 flat rails that can go into the supports at any part.  and we are making two down rails, one from 4ft to 2.5ft and the other from 2.5ft to 1ft.  already about halfway done. all double barrel with 2" pvc. and we are gonna be able to tweak the shit out of it!

they were 4 feet apart, and i was just showing him that he could use one of the rail ideas, as mine was kinda like his just wider
