Best way to conquer final cut pro.

so im stepping up my game and getting x games but i was just wondering what the best way to learn final cut pro is. is there like in tutorial videos or books out there. or is it just a matter of plugging and pickin away until i find my way.

any feed back would be super sick and awesome.

Just edit a few things, and you'll get the hang of it. Search youtube for a few tutorials, and what you learn from those, you will learn other things on your own.

at my school we use final cut express (gaaaaaaaaay) and we have these massive books for the program... so their out there but 2 thousand+ pages of boringness and beating around the bush. I use it when I have a problem but other than that, not worth it. I find the best way to get good at a program is to mess around with it. do little projects that test your skill and knowledge and when you run into something you dont know how to do. ( say replacing green screens with a background) just google the shit out of it. also there are tonnes of tutorials for specific stuff on youtube. I think this is the best way, apart from being tought by someone in person who made the program

yeah i have been using i movie to make my edits and final cut just looks so alien to me. i have no idea what the fuck i am doing.

haha yah for sure, its a big shock, it will take time but its ssooooooooo worth it. your going to realise how much more and how much simpler it is after you get past the confusion. I would suggest clicking the help button( or tutorial.. not sure what its called) should be on the top right corner somewhere. just take the introduction lessons to get a base
