Replying to Working on a fishing boat in Alaska?

I was wondering if any of you on this site have experience working as a greenhorn on a boat in Alaska. I am graduating college in June, with no job prospects lined up yet. We know the economy is shit, if I could get on a boat thatd be my best chance to make money and most of all, save money.

Anyways, I already live in the Seattle area and there are a lot of boats based out of here, I just don't have any legitimate contacts. Anyways, was wondering if anyone has done it and if so, what are their thoughts and advice to try to get on a crew.
