189 bents questions

im wondering how these perform in the trees at this enormous size? are they quick to turn and light enough to do some hop turns if need be? or should i go with a 179

for ref 6' 170lbs

The 179 measures to about 184, and the 189 measures to almost 200, they are also not very turny in tight trees, so you should prolly hit up the 179, I just got a pair, and they are taller than my 182 Bacons. Hope that helps.

Get the 189s.  You will not be dissapointed.  especially when a bunch of the older kids shred by on the 189s and make fun of you for being on snowlerblades.

I have the 189's and I have had no problem manuevering them around.  While they measure longer than 189, they ski shorter because of the rocker.  If you are taller than 6ft and weigh more than 160 I would recommend the 189's, especially if you have reasonably big feet. Buy them, you will be stoked.

if it's powder, they will turn on a dime once you figure them out. for what it's worth, im 5'8, 150 lbs, and ski 189's. so you should get 189's, otherwise look like a girl.

If you are planning on charging buy another ski.

I'm about 6'1" 175lbs and ride 189s in the trees no problem. Even though they measure 195ish they are much easier in tight trees than my 186 line prophets.

With the huge rocker and zero camber underfoot they smear and pivot really easily despite their size.

Another thing i have to mention is that you mount them at or near core center. I rode a pair mounted at +2 and they were a completely different ski. If you mount too far back and land back seat there isn't any stiffness behind your boot and you wheelie and loose a lot of control. Mine are mounted at core centre and im very happy with it.

I am 6'1 and weigh like 175...I was thinking with getting the 189 'bents. Is that best size for me, cause i am thinking it is?
