Fighting in school

I am just wondering how strict my school is with fighting because we get a ten day suspension, a $500 fine and a court date. what is the punishment for fighting in your school?

When i got into a fight earlier this school year, i got kicked out for 7 school days. Also i got a court date...but seeing how i live in Muskegon County *A really dangerous county where there are prolly 3 fights a week at any given school. They just excused my case and told me that i shouldnt do it again or else next time somebody could get more seriously injjured.

The only thing I can think of to argue that is in this day and age, we are exposed to way more violence, just because of all the violence on TV and such. Think about the people who were living in the 1800s, if they weren't in a war, they most likely never saw anyone murdered, now you see murders in the news every night, and on TV and in movies like its a joke. Murder is entertainment now.

I went to an all boys high school. I would see an average of 1-2 fights a day, shit got intense sometimes. most of them wouldn't get caught but if they did it was a couple days detention normally

usually a 3 day suspension but it can get worse depending how badly the kids kick the shit out of each other
