i am in marketing right now as a shophomore and i HATE math with a passion.
have to take accounting and statistics (you will probably need to take some sort of calc before these just because that's what colleges make you do) next year i have to do core classes like finance and a lot of management, research and behavior stuff.. i don't think much math after that. (unless you wanna do that)
my minor is spanish - if you're fluent in another language that's gonna get you ahead in business, but yeah graphic design and shit like that is also a very smart minor.
i got an internship this summer with a tourism agency and i am working with the head of marketing. basically what she does is travel up and down the east coast and talk up the city i live in to groups that want to visit/have conventions there. i could of been with working with someone that keeps the website up to date with all sorts of events and things to do/see and do a lot of the counting/statistic stuff.
so yeah, it's a very broad major you can go a lot of places with - but remember, it's definitely all who you know nowadays so if you have the chance to meet/interview/talk to someone, take it.
