Good boots and bindings to go with 09 invaders

Im getting the 09 Line Invaders 161cm and I wanted to know what boots and bindings go good with them. I am around 5'7'' and still growing so should I get the 161's?

here are some answers:

1. i advise getting 171's. invaders are skinny, light skis; so your going to want the extra length.
2. i know its a common answer around here, but get fulltilts if you have skinny/small feet. and if you dont feel you fit into that category, then get SPK's.
3. and for bindings i would think PX 12 Jibs. great bombproof binding.

Get properly fitted for boots - don't take anyone's advice if they are recommending a particular boot model without knowing your foot type.

Yes, SPKs are wide and FullTilts are narrower, but that is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to bootfitting.

Invaders are symmetrical so they ski shorter, and they are super soft, so yeah - minimum 171.

161 would be exceptionally small for you, especially if you are still growing.  They are too small for you already in my opinion.

171 or 178, 161 is waaaaay small, especially cause they are soft light and symmetrical.

171's as everyone said. They ski short.

As for boots, don't listen to specific boots from people on here. We haven't seen your foot, so we can't properly recommend one. Definitely get fitted. I had surgery on my toe because I didn't get fitted properly last season. Now I'm in boots that fit (non park boots, but they fit perfect), and I have no complaints anymore. You don't need a "park" boot to ride park, but there are tons of companies and tons of variety of park boots anyways.

As for bindings, some p12s or PX12s would probably do the trick. Or some FKS if you can pick some up for cheap. Maybe Griffons, even though everyone on here hates them. No need to get anything serious for this ski like a p18, sth16 or jester, because if you're doing really serious stuff then you probably shouldn't get this ski. Just get something you get a good deal on.

Another thing. I live in Kentucky and the closet ski store that knows how to actually fit boots properly is in Cincinatii. Should I get the invaders and bindings online and get boots when the store opens?

get the bindings and skis online and ask if the site can mount them for free this will be a major cost cutter get these center mounted for sure and yes use the shops boot expertise to hook you up solid

definitely get 171's
as for bindings i tend to crack my heel pieces a lot but I got Salomons 12 din binding whatever that's called and it's held up really well. Don't bother with the Jokers or the Griffins since the ski is so narrow. the trick is to find somethign that isn't to heavy (so dong buy like a 16 din binding since you're only 110lbs) but isn't cheeping out like any other binding marker makes other than Griffins and Jesters.

And for boots get what fits your feet. And if you get SPK's buy them a size smaller because they pack out really fast.

you know, good point here.

you're going to want semi-small boots.

my ski boot size is 2 below my running shoe size, and thats how it should be.

you'll get better comfort and performance in the long run

I will back up most of the advice in here.

Get the bigger ski, you will be mounting it center, which lets you throw the ski around a lot more easily.  Besides the great switch preformance of a centered ski, I like the equal swing weight that you get.  I am 5'10, and pretty done growing, and I ski on a center mounted par of Bluehouse MR 179's, I would have it no other way.

For bindings, you should look at the px12 jib bindings.  Look, Dynastar, Rossi... they are all the same, just different colors, and possibly different din options.  This binding is quite the breed, so you can save money by looking at older models, you can save money with confidence knowing you are on a time-tested design.

For boots, you need to go for what fits you.  I foolishly bought size 28 SPK's a couple of years ago.  I loved to ski in them, they were soft, comfy, and I could ski well in them.  At the end of this year, I walked into a shop to see some new boots, I was fitted for a size 26.5 Fulltilt!  Don't worry about growing too much, if you get a boot that fits you well, it will naturally pack out no matter how good the fit is, you will have great preformance from a great fitting boot, and you will have room to spare as you use the boot.

Well ther's my non-professional, but well researched (From NS haha) opinion on gear.

dont worry i was the same 6'5 170, now im a sophmore in college at 6'5 205 you will grow into your body
but on ponit....

get the 171, some rossi SAS120's, and go to a boot fitter.

THats weird i had the same size FT booters as my regular shoes and my toe was hurting cause it was smashed into the boots so i ordered a size up in the hot doggers and its perfect
