Me and a buddy have an ongoing discussion about Count your blessings vs. suicide season. They are both AWESOME albums, but CYB is def heavier. Suicide season is way catchier tho IMO. Just depends on the mood I'm in. I listen to suicide season more I think tho.

Bunch of fucking punks ruined it though. I'm not talking about the good kind, I mean the 'we stand around and nod our heads' kind. They mentioned that I 'ruined the show' in their review though, which is awesome.

Exactly. I don't see how anyone can say Opeth is bad...they are one of the best metal band out there in the actual music technicality. Other bands that are technical as shit (not exactly hardcore, but...) are Dream Theater, Symphony X, Adagio, Zero Hour...goddamn I could go on forever. I used to play in a prog metal band and my buddies kept shoving new music in my face all the time.

Oh, and I enjoy A Day To Remember and the Devil Wears Prada at times. Really depends on my mood.

IMHO they suck big dick. You can like them if you want, but in my opinion they are not original whatsoever and are sorta boring. It's like when you liked disturbed as a kid, you were like "this is soooo badass and hardcore!!!!!!12213!@#!@##" then you found better music and realized how lame disturbed or whatever band you liked was.

What I think is real funny is that you said In Flames blows but the shitty metalcore bands you've metionned probably have them as an inspiration and might not have existed if it wasnt for them......

Oh...and I tried to listen to that Parway shit and almost fell asleep after 3 seconds...yeah they really are creative and original and shit...they are just another generic band of what has been done in metal in the last decade.

So i saw BMTH today on the Rockstar A Taste of Chaos Tour, and honestly, Oli cant scream anymore.
they didnt play one old song. wtf. i was pretty disappointed. On the other hand, check out Cancer Bats.

just saw them in Toronto on the 1st. Such a kick ass show. They play with so much intensity, and the set list kicks your ass the entire time.

Lately i've been really into mastodon, the new lamb of god cd, and trivium. then all the other bands i love like nine inch nails, children of bodom, system of a down.

I tend to agree with murderface. I like metallica, sort of, but they really aren't at where metal is today. It has become a very different genre, and metallica just seems too "radio friendly." Any true metalhead would tell you that metallica isn't that heavy. They are a good, influential band, but I wouldn't really consider them "metal" in today's sense of the word. Maybe back in the day.

What I'm reeally trying to say here is that metallica pussy metal. And Why do you insist on posting a bumch of metallica videos. We've all heard them.

Meh. The reason I like Metallica is because they're not ridiculously heavy. I hate that fucking nauseating screaming voice that's in most newer metal. Every member of that band is talented as shit. Whether or not they're considered "heavy" metal by today's standards really doesn't concern me, they shred.
