April 9th... Calling all filmers and editors - UVM SSC is hosting the 2nd annual Homegrown Movie Night at 8:00pm in the Ampitheatre on athletic campus. Throw your face shots, cliff hucks, and rail slays into an edit and send it our way in the next week or two. Prizes and awards for the top placing edits. A raging time is guaranteed. Rain site in the CC Theatre.
April 17th... Skate Jam (benefit for Schwarz): Mike Schwarz, a member of the snowboard team, is an awesome guy and a great snowboarder. He was doing his thing at the World Quarter Pipe Championships near Magic Mountain in Londonderry, VT when he fell and hit his head. Mike underwent surgery where a blood clot was removed from his brain. Currently Mike is in the ICU in a non-induced coma.
So Friday from 3-6 we're having a skate jam at UVM on the basketball courts in between U. Heights and Harris/Millis (same spot as last year) with music, Skinny Pancake Crepes, raffles, prizes, and donations encouraged 100% profit going to Mike Schwarz's parents to help pay medical bills.
