When I saw the thread title Pep's segment in 1242 was the first thing that came to mind. To think that segment came out around 6 years ago is just amazing.

facepalm....heedhating is over rated, ever actually seen him ski?  recently?


anyway...
-CR and tanner in SM3 (first rediculous air steeze brought mainstream)

-Mik D in Royalty (redic. steeze, too bad no one saw it)

-HEED IN WICKED (5 years ahead of his time in terms of rail steeze)

-pep in 1242 (changed backcountry jibbing)

-crichton (and of course hibbert) in forward (crichton hits more urban than ever, in like a week, then hibbert hucks his meat)

-JP in propaganda (pretty much textbook everything)

-andy and will in HFTH (this is what skiing will become...dont believe me?  how many kids are trying hippy killers this year?  how long until wessons rail tricks are matched by anyone?  even tammy isnt doing what wesson is.)

thats my list of most influential parts...

i dont know how many people saw steriotype but its probly my favorite ski movie ever. Polard had a sick part. Ianic B destroyed all rails and Mik D had so much style (first time i saw "afterbang") Dave
Crichton had a sick part. All in all this movie compleatly changed how i ski. Oh and chris turpin hitting the pipe switch. all this in 2002.

Sure, he's dope, but he did tricks that anyone else can do and hasnt done anything since, sure he was "steezy" but he was way overrated, people treated him as like a pro skier.

lolwut?  how do you know what hes done the past 5 years?  do you have a magic mirror that shows you travis heed?  cause for damn sure you havent seen any footage of him other than that filmed by those gapers opening day at mt snow a couple years ago.  basically, he does what he wants, and people cant grasp that he doesnt want to be in the limelight.  kid doesnt give a fuck about the ski scene or NS, so you all think he doesnt ski ski well anymore, and if he does, he skis the same as he did in wicked.  he ihas progressed in park just as much as the other bangers in wicked (rainville, logan, decker, west, downey for newbs) he could be filming with whatever company he wanted to right now if he desired to be.  he was "pro" for a few months haha. 

"he did tricks anyone else can do" 2-3 years before they were doing them, and more stylie than they are done today.

Well all of those segments mentioned are epic.. but ther is one really importand edit to be added

The edit that made rails cooler than jumps, halfpipe and Bc, the edit that started de No pole trend, the talltees, begining of afterbangs and made steeze so much mor important. + giving birth to the most hyphed skier this century!

i guess you all know wich edit i mean.

I'm sorry, if heed was as good as the others in wicked now im sure he'd be out filming with someone. The fact that there is no video proof of him doing anything basically seals that he hasnt done shit for the past couple years. And he is not as stylie as some are now today, he just fucking put his hands at his side,oh wait EVERYONE does that now, heed looks like everyone else now. i hate you kids who defend heed so hard with nothing to back it up but "omg hes so dreamy!". When heed makes an edit to prove the words you have said, then ill believe them, until them there is no way i would believe it. And no, he was never "pro" you're not a pro for doing 270s on and being steezy.

I will ask again.....have you seen him ski recently?  anyone who has seen him ski in the past 2 years agrees with me.  and i will state again.....HE DOESNT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE SKIING COMMUNITY.  why would he want to make video proof for newschoolers?  kid hates newschoolers like you hate dieting.

i skied with heed a few days this year at mount snow in the begining of the year then he stopped skiing at mount snow. hes definitly progressed a little still isent doing much on jumps though

pollard in focused
BC booters: pep 1242 and tanner in TBC, andy mahre in war

for park skiing/urban: corey vanular in shanghai 6
for birth of thug rideaway: c-van and downey in long story short. between the two of these guys they pretty much invent every trick that is considered a park banger by todays standards and they bang the fuck out of them all.

you are missing the point. I don't think anyone ever looked at heed as "pro". They looked at what he was doing and said "damn, that's fresh, I don't need to have gorilla rail style to make rails look good" That is it!
I really don't understand you..Just because someone doesn't have a banger'09 video or isn't labeled "pro" they can't have an influence on the sport? I'm sure this will go through your fat head just as fast as it went in. you are blinded by hate.

Rails - Anything from Traveling Circus especially the Hood segment.

Filmography - Turbo is groudbreaking, because if you paused it anywhere, you could hang that still on your wall.

Next level airs - JOSS

Not really a segment, but I still think that the most influential trick ever caught on video was JF Cusson's switch unnatural 720 at the 1999 Winter X Games.   NS may not have ever existed without that.  It was so far ahead of it's time, people couldn't even comprehend what they saw.

only thing jon brogan did was popularize fake steez, totally overdoing his swagger. All the big clothes "gangster" stuff stems back to mickael basically. Heed drew influence from that, tanner even changed his shit up bigtime drawing alot of influence from mickael. Then tom wallisch and steve step came along, obviously heavily influenced by these guys, did their pretzel thing and now every kid out there thats 5'6 is wearin' a bright 4xl tall tee hiking flatbars learning how to afterbang their pretzels.
