Blake thought he just had a strained calf and was instead diagnosed with an extreme flesh eating bacteria. He was rushed into surgery and both his legs were amputated up to the knee. But that was a couple of weeks ago, they ended up having to amputate both of his legs to try to stop the infection.. He then became worse and had to be put on life support and into a medically induced coma. His parents were faced with the decission of whether or not to take him off of life support because the doctors told them the chances of him surviving the infection were EXTREMELY slim.. His parents prayed about the situation along with many of the local churches including mine.. They finally decided that they would leave it up to God whether or not to take his life... Blakes body miraculously fought of the infection and he was able to be lifted from the coma a couple of weeks ago... When awaken, instead of being down on the situation he immediately thanked the doctors for saving his life and even joked "i thought it was much worse, I thought I was paralyzed." Well to make a long story short he has been through 11 surgeries and will continue having many more... The prayers so far have made a HUGE difference so I figured maybe a few more people praying for him may make all the difference.. They are continuing to remove blakes dead tissue and he is still in pretty serious condition so everybody please try to pray for the kid.. every little bit should help.. thanks be to God for saving his life
