Well, it looks like winter 08/09 is officially over for the jibrabates.
We didn’t manage all our goals what we had planed, because of snow,
rain, wind and high avalanche danger. This winter wasn’t all bad, i
guess, since we manage to bag five munros and a couple of corbetts in
the process.
The highlights of the winter were: Ski touring for the first time, skiing gardh choire twice, sron na gaoithe, south west ridge, the cairnwell, south ridge, glas tulaichean and descending down the the allt coire fionn in bomb proof conditions and flat light.
THE FIVE BEST TOURS OF WINTER 08/09
The Cairnwell, South Ridge (January 24th 2009)
Sron Na Gaoithe, South West Ridge (February 11th 2009)
Garbh Choire (February 18th 2009)
Garbh Choire (March 6th 2009)
Glas Tulaichean (April 3rd 2009)
It's now spring and with summer only been around the corner, it’s time to start drawing, painting and do a lot more skateing to get througth the long boring summer a head.
