crashing with poles strapped to you could kill you.
dopeee
and yeah if you have enough brain power to function pole straps wont hurt you. as long as the poles arent too big....lost a tooth in a pole handle from that
your strap idea is sick, especially because they could tear off.
i stomped a five at whistler summer camp in the mashed potatoes ON MY POLE. i was off balanced due to learning corks into a super soft landing, the pole didnt break because the strap pulled me down backward. the force took me down so fast i didnt know what had happened. my buddy came over the landing and i asked if there was something wrong with my back. i had put the tail of a fujative through my back....yup, a huge filet of back skin, deep enough for me to be fingering like a wet one. my buddy freaked out and i had to make it down from the glacier needing 40 stitched. that plane ride home sucked.
broken thumbs?
skiers thumb is from crashing with the pole in your hand, not letting go of the pole means you will punch the ground with a closed fist and your thumb will break or pop out away from your hand. not letting go has nothing to do with pole straps. the sick thing is that ive done this too....
i tend to just drop my poles so i use straps.
on a side note i find it funny how people on here can 7and arnt scared but they are afraid of pole straps
