im looking at colleges and u of u is a strong option. the have the program i want and the skiiing would be insane compaired to what im used to. my parents however think the morman religon is is going to be slammed down my throught. im not religous at all and i dont see it being a big issue.

my question is if anyone lives in utah or goes to u of u is it that big of a deal were it makes life as difficult as it seems?

and if you are morman do if you even really care that much anyways? like i get the whole religion thing and i dont really see mormans as being crazy cult people, gods whatever to me, if its what your into then all power to you. but is it really that big of a deal or are my parents just paranoid.

my mormon friend is really chill. He cares about his religion but he doesn't care if anyone hates it or doesn't like it. It doesn't bother him and he wouldn't like try to convert anyone or anything haha.

mormons go and do their own thing they dont really fuck with you unless its john kutcher or sam hurst they are way too hood for their own good

i live 20 minutes away from the UofU and trust me, you won't get much of the "morman" thing there. all the mormons are cleverly stationed away at the campus of BYU. U of U is just another mountain, ski, party college.

dude im mormon, and im not gonna lie, there are some crazy ones out in utah. i mean i dont smoke/drink or whatever but im chill and down with anyone. im sure as hell not gonna force my religion down anyone elses throat, and i respect people and dont judge them. im just here to chill and ski.

as for U of U, im not sure. Im just saying, not all mormons are crazy. Some of us are chill

there are a ton of out of state skiers that go to the U for the skiing. you will become friends with them so basically you will be hanging out with "normal" people....lol just kidding. the mormons aren't that bad. they are very easy to pick out and you probably won't hang out with too many of them. i'm just saying chances are you will become friends with the kids wearing tall t's and wearing beanies in september. and as far as being pressured into the mormon religion or whatever, don't worry about that at all. you may run into some missionaries (especially if you are wearing steezy clothing haha) but you just have to tell them you are not interested and walk away. utah does have some bullshit laws (cause of the mormons lol) but the skiing makes it all worth it. and whats funny is that most utah locals DON"T ski or ride!! i don't know why but honestly whenever i ask a utah local if they ride, they usually always say that they have never been or have only been a few time...weird but hey less people on the slopes
