to start off, im VERY happy that my skis were warrantied, but its really the principle of the whole situation that pisses me off
Alright, so i bought a pair of Dynastar trouble makers limited from o2gearshop.com for $90!!! i was pumped. well after a week of them not being shipping out, i called and wanted to know what was up. it turns out they didnt have them in stock and didn't seem to want to let me know. I asked for a manager and he said he was sorry and that he would go find another pair of skis and hook me up for a good price. He found a pair of 2008 Fischer Addicts that he would give me for $145 which was a sick price.
so i skied for like 10 days worth on them throughout the whole season, i really didnt get enough time :(. but anyway, after every run, more and more of the top sheet would chip off. i was hardly going park, i was just hauling ass, carving and fucking around and hitting the glades and what not. I was really mad about how quickly they seemed to go to shit, so i emailed o2gearshop.com and sent them pictures and they said they would and should be warrantied.
so after weeks and weeks, this guy had no idea what to do. he didnt know if i had to send them directly to fischer or to the store and then they would send them. he was pretty stupid and i was kinda fed up. i called and asked to speak to one of the guys higher up, he told me they had an RA number for me, why wasn't i told? i dont know... i also went into a whole thing about shipping with them, i think its stupid that i should pay to ship a defective product....
so i finally send them out. i was told by that manager that fischer had a pair of 2010's waiting for me. i was then told by the guy i orginially talked to that they recieved the skis and would be warrantying them and that they were sending me a pair of 2010's. The day finally comes that they arive, im excited that im getting a pair 2010. i opened the box and bam, a pair of 2009s. im pissed
now im happy i got warrantied and that i got newer skis, but i don't like these graphics and i was really looking forward to 2010s.
I emailed the guy again ask what was up. i thought i was getting 2010s, thats what you told me, why did i get 2009s? i want the skis that i was told i was getting. they claim that there is nothing they can do about it. they also said there is no difference in them besides graphics, but i know for a fact that there is.
what do you guys think? dont bash me about not being grateful, because i am, i got a newer pair of skis and i got them for a great price. but should i get what i was told i was getting? doesnt it show bad customer service when you tell someone one thing, and get their hopes up, and then tell them to bad...
spark notes: hassle buying skis. had the eventually get them warrantied, didnt get what i was told i was getting, they told me to bad. you should probably read it if you care though
