Getting ipod directly into car stereo?

hey, so i have my car, 04 jeep liberty, and want to play my ipod through the stereo, without using one of those shitty radio adapters. is there any way to get a line in cable for my shuffle into my stereo?

need a aftermarket deck, and either itll have one,or you can hardwire one in.
i dont know how to hardwiere it in, but my sisters bf did it in his exterra

can anyone suggest a cheap deck, basically just radio, CD, and the ability to plug my ipod into it?

i got an alpine one a few years ago with an ipod cable (had to buy it separately actually), for like $80
sounded really good too, it just didnt have much potential for expansion (as in it only had a subwoofer rca output, no speaker rcas)

i don't really plan on improving the system that much, possibly throwing a few subs in, but most likely leaving it stock

dont cheap out and get a 50 headunit. cause its most likely gonna suck.

also im pretty sure not every unit works in every car. on bestbuy you can find ones that work with you car, then browse features and such and find one you like.

or go to a place near by that sells car audio shit and they will help you find a good setup, as theyre gonna know the most.

i got a panasonic one that was made for ipod and it is amazing and you control everything through the deck, and the control is a wheel so it is the most intuitive one, paid like 300 but that was like a year and a half ago

I have an alpine one that is all controlled through my deck, it was like $250 though. It's a nice deck, I decided to go high end cause I have a pretty nice setup in my car.

Some words of advice. Find one you like, order it from www.onlinecarstereo.com

Great site. Don't get it form best buy, and learn to do it yourself. It's really easy, and it will save you a ton of money.

i got a pioneer deck for $99 plus instalation at best buy. super nice deck.  it has a usb port to so you can import music form a usb drive or charge your ipod aswell

if ur car has a tape player u can get a tape to mp3 adapter. there like 10 bucks and sound is pretty good

definitely the best thing ever made... no cracking up or shitty signals. works really well. to bad cars don't get made with tape decks to much anymore

you could probably get one for 2.50 at best buy.

But if you want it to be less ghetto just loof for the cheapest deck with an aux input.  you could probably get one for around $50

pretty good deck. the ipod cord goes into the glove box and it charges the ipod so you don't have worry about it. you control the ipod through the deck. you can scroll through the artists, playlists, songs anything. you can also switch the color from red to green. pretty good sound quality for the price.
