So I was just thinking today at work (dishwasher at a retirement home) how much good food is thrown away, today i threw out 2 full pies, a full platter of country fried steak and 3 buckets of mashed potatoes.
It made me start thinking about this idea, now me myself I am not much of an activist, usually just too busy/lazy. But possibly something i would consider doing as a senior project.
So instead of throwing out all of the perfectly good "leftovers" why not make a place where businesses or families that have leftovers from their dinner could bring the food too at a certain time each night and from there people could serve the homeless/poor people food.
Of course the people would have to write the date it was cooked on in order to maintain safety standards and such.
