Bindings for Elizabeths? Need Help Quick

So I think I'm going to pull the trigger on some lizzies. What bindings would you guys suggest? I want to get PX 12 jibs, because they are cheap, but I've been told that I should get Griffons because they would be better for a wider ski. Please give me some imput, trying to decide by tomorrow

i'd take px12s over griffons.. but jesters over px12s.. I have 2 pairs of jesters and a pair of px12s on my 3 ski quiver. the px12s are obviously heavier when you are carrying them, but you don't really notice when you're skiing.. the griffons 'feel' breakable, my dad rides them and they are light as hell but he treats his skis really well. I would prefer the PX12s despite the extra weight.

I had px12's on my elizabeths for three seasons and i loved them...ive never had a problem with a px12

i guess the argument was that I would have better control with the griffons because they are a fatter binding as opposed to p12 jibs. Any truth to that?

Technically, because the Griffons are wider, they will give you more control. However, I've skied on PX series and Jesters and cannot honestly say that I've noticed a difference in how well I can control the skis. I haven't used the Griffons, but the Jesters are sick. I don't think you could go wrong with either binding, but from what I've heard, if you're planning on charging, go for the PX over the Griffon.

I just got some lizzies myself and I was wondering what to do about the PX12 break width. The widest I could go wold be 100mm  but the lizzie has a waist of 110mm. What should I do?

A shop tech will have no problem bending those out for you.

you could also order wide brakes for them. bending works, ive heard, but if you ever need to warranty them i dunno what their policy is on that sort of thing.

Good luck finding a set of FKSs with 110+ brakes for the price he is probably looking for.

I dont know what your price range is, but the px12s are a good inexpensive binding. There are bindings out there that are better, and some that are worse. If you have $150 you can get a set of PX14XXLs, they come with a 110 brake stock too.

Ya, that is true.

But at the same time, you can get FKS for $150 and bend them yourself.
