1) Goode's stuff has always been on the expensive side.
2) They have largely marketed to the wealthy, older, weekend warrior set.
3) They will probably market this as a must have for your Canadian Heli Ski trip.
The problem is going to be when one of their "more mature" skiers, decides to try and ski this at a ski area on a powder day, catches that 90 degree angle tip on a mogul and does their first involuntary misty 9. That will go over well.
i dont think its the lack of sidecut that makes them weird, its more like the dead square tip profiles. pretty gnarly, but id have to imagine that it would feel really weird/catchy on edge.
