If you're brave, I made a vid on how to freehand mount. I wouldn't normally recommend it unless you know exactly what you're doing, but &45 is redonkulous

definately go to a different shop.....
my shop costs 20 for mounting and have never had a problem with them
$75 is rediculous

there are 3 shops around me.

the farthest, is $40 and the cheapest
inbetween is $50
then finally, $80 and its the closest.

i win, $80 to mount skis. i thought i was hearing things when i first heard them say it.

Wooorrrdd that is high for a binding mount ... i live in the area like an hour away and at our mountain they charge like 30

i get mountings for free but i think normally at my shop it's like 30 for normal mounting and 40 for a freehand mount if they don't have a jig (like for fks or dynafits)

thats rediclious my shope charges 45 if they have to redrill everything

Deffently go to a different ski shop if there are anyothers near you

take you time, and do it yourself it is soo worth it.  Freehand isn't soo bad you just have to be patient

just drive. unless its an absurd distance away, the gas will be worth it to not support a shop that rapes you that bad.
