Replying to Feeler: Sony DCR-PD170 (VX2100 on steroids!!)
So, I might be selling this camera. I want to possibly move into HD and being unemployed at the moment is a bear. Selling this may help offset the switchover. Though I really would want to keep it as a backup...
Camera is a Sony DCR-PD170. Comes with:
.7x Sony Wide angle
Sony Directional Shotgun mic
Lens hoods for both with and without wide angle
Polarizing Filter
UV Filter
Warming Filter
2 12 hour batteries that hold full charges
2 12 hour batts that hold half charges
Original battery (100 minutes or so)
charger
everything else I have for it besides the rain cover.
130 hours of tape on the heads. The drums are at 260 hours The camera spent most of its life on a tripod under a cover in a studio, but saw some work as a camera for Sunday River's RSN station before it came to me. Camera is in minty shape. Glass is as new, body shows very little signs of use.
This camera is a beefed up version of a VX2100 that was made for use in the field gathering news and footage for documentaries. It gets everything a VX2100 has, but Sony used HAD CCDs which has a lower light sensitivity and instead of the on camera mic, it uses 2 XLR inputs with phantom power of 48v. Look it up if you have never heard of it before.
