im about to buy new skis either today or tomorow but can't decide between the 09 surface watchlifes or nordica ignitions. the watchlifes 170 is a tad small and the 180 is to big so that is kinda a downside but i could deal since i have the 08 wtachlifes now. Or im thinkin bout gettin the nordica ignitions. they are both teh same price. any input on the ignitions or 09 watchlifes?
im lookin to get this as an all mountain twin about 60% all mtn 40% park

I have the Ignitions and there a really fun ski in the park. I ride the 176 center mount, im 5'5 135lb. The skis are super flexy in both the tip and tail, so there fun in the park and groomers but not so great outside. I ride up at Mt. Hood so I've taken the ignitions through a lot of powder and off trail stuff, and they hold up alright its just not the best because they're so flexy.
And from what i heard from my friend the old surfaces were flexy in the tip but super stiff in the tails. They might have changed that so i'm not so sure about the surface skis.
Final thoughts: If you want to go more all mountain you might want to look into surface rather than the Ignitions.

180 is fine. I'm 5'8 145 and have the 09 WL in 180. They are amazing. I have em mounted -1 from center and they kill the park, but also do really well elsewhere. I used them in 18in of pretty heavy pow and they did surprisingly well. I would highly recommend them.
All times are Eastern (-5)
