End sexism in contests

I had a great idea just now. Girls and guys skiing has been seperated in terms of skill for a long time. Something needs to be done to get it on the right track! Soooooooooo, END THE SEXISM! Instead of X-games girls and guys events, lets combine em! That way, for like, superpipe, no more girls and guys events, just one big ski superpipe event.

Obviously, the girls arent goingto be going as high or doing as great tricks, so something like a handicap would be imposed on the guys so that the girls have a real chance against Tanner. But wouldnt that be cool?!?! A girl could beat out Dumont for the overall pipe contest and we could show the rest of the world that our sport is the lone one where gender doesnt make a difference!

I agree. I have been injured and under shitty conditions i didn't see the need to do anything else. Anyone who knows me , know's that i do go around expecting to win comps doing switch one's and straight airs. Nor have i ever before. But if you were injured would you risk being out for the rest of the season just to prove yourself at one comp ?  I knew what i had to do to win, and i did. Still walked away being able to ski for the rest of the season and now have time to  try and learn " switch cork 9's or 10 ".

So I'm all for and support equal rights but this idea you propose would not be a step forwards. If you truly want it to be 'equal' men and women would compete together with no handicap. Meaning at for several years to come there would be no women skiing in the X-Games.

I get where you're coming from but sorry it simply makes no sense.

Its great that chicks can have their own freestyle skiing sport going.  The truth is and no one can deny it.... guys are just naturally more athletic and daring than s, its just DNA makeup....  

Bottom line: s have their own comps- COOL,  Can s compete with guys? NO

i like the idea of it.. BUT, putting a handycap on the guys sorta defeats the purpose of the whole sexism thing. Yeah its shitty that guys are so sexist twards girls skiing, but i think that would just make me feel like an idiot if i was skiing agains a bunch of guys who had a handycap put on them. If I was going to compete against guys i would want to be able to win FARE AND SQUARE(that is if i won ha). there is no way in hell that i, being a girl would ever feel as accomplished skiing against guys(in a comp) if i knew they had a handycap.

We don't need to combine women and men that's just a bad idea, it won't work it'll basically push women's skiing back more. what we need is more ladies to ski and push the level of competition higher so girls will have to do better stuff.

maybe if girls could actually go as high and do as good of tricks as tanner and simon then they would be able to do that, but it is retarded to make someone who isn't that great at skiing seems better through some dumb handicap system. there are so many unsponsored guys out there that could be destroying  the best pro girls. if you want to be recognized then step up and ski better, don't just ask for hand outs
