End sexism in contests

I had a great idea just now. Girls and guys skiing has been seperated in terms of skill for a long time. Something needs to be done to get it on the right track! Soooooooooo, END THE SEXISM! Instead of X-games girls and guys events, lets combine em! That way, for like, superpipe, no more girls and guys events, just one big ski superpipe event.

Obviously, the girls arent goingto be going as high or doing as great tricks, so something like a handicap would be imposed on the guys so that the girls have a real chance against Tanner. But wouldnt that be cool?!?! A girl could beat out Dumont for the overall pipe contest and we could show the rest of the world that our sport is the lone one where gender doesnt make a difference!

haha also read in class. but totally agree with you. this is a ridiculous iddea.  clearly its a sport like any other, where there are two different gender divisions. i mean come on, if you're going to put something on here for all to see, think it through first, this obviously is a fail, and thats being nice.

are you serious? by having a handicap you're admitting that girls aren't as good as guys and reinforcing the stereotype. how is it at all fair that a girl should be able to go 2 feet in the air and beat tanner?

I didn't bother to read if anybody has told you this yet.

You're proposal is fine, I would be stoked to se women competing against men. But with a handicap? come on. that's even more sexist than separating the two. And if you didn't have a handicap no woman would qualify for any comps. So I guess what you really want is to just eliminate womens freeskiing. or you're just retarded, I dunno

Okay the idea probably wouldn't work, but that irrelevant to me.
What I can't believe is how fucking sexist everyone is! All of the female sexist jokes are awful.

I agree that women have all the ability to succeed that men do and its its just a matter of them pushing themselves, eventually they will progress.

But, just make your point without being sexist. It's not that hard.

hey guys I got an idea:

let's combine all age groups into one! that way, 12 year olds get to see how it feels to compete against the best skiers in the world! we don't want to discriminate against certain age groups of course. only catch is... people over 18 have to limit their rotation to 720

If you put a handicap on the guys, wouldn't that just prove that gender does make a difference?

NO. girls and guys skiing are on COMPLETELY different levels right now.  theres no way you could possibly judge both of them together even with a handicap.  plus, isnt a handicap doing the absolute opposite of making girls feel equal to men?  not gonna lie tho, some of you guys are being 100% dicks. lol

Its not sexism. its division of skill. Iv never seen a girl spin more than a 540 let alone a double cork the skill gap is so far no girl could beat dumont in pipe or any other xgames freeskiing athlete.

but seriously, giving guys a handicap is taking away the idea of real competition. if you have the better tricks, you should be able to win competitions. i completely respect womens rights to compete in events, but it should be in their own category. anything else is just pitting apples against oranges, with the oranges unable to win, even though they have the better tricks.

giving handicaps to males would be like giving handicaps to a guy/girl that would totally dominate a comp because they work the hardest. it just wouldn't be fair
