A Mobile Newschoolers?

i think newschoolers should make a website that can be used on ur cellphone like an iPhone or something
or just make an app. for the iPhone users. also NS could even make money off it?
just an idea and im throwin it out there to you guys

there are a few pretty good apps out there for mobile phones
opera works just fine, and a mobile firefox is in the works

NS runs so shitty on the browser on the iphone. Mobile APP!!! with threads, news feed, vids. do it!

NS runs like shit on my storm with my native BB browser, but once i downloaded bolt browser it runs great.

and i say screw making a mobile app for NS, cause most likely it'll be iphone/ipod touch only. just make a mobile site guys!!!!!!!!!!

ive tried using NS on blackberry and its really hard to use its just frustrating. an iphone ap would be totally awesome though.

Please NS get it done, iphone app we have been asking for this for a year now.  Make it so you can stream the videos and reply to thread im each other check news upload mobile pictures to your profile \

I would pay money and buy this from the store.  I bet you NS would do really well out of this

I would pay 5$ for it how many users have iphone/ipod touch maybe 10,000 and if half of those bought it thats 25k - apples cut which im not sure how much it would still be a tidy profit for NS

Apple take a 30% cut.

Not to mention though that it would create a huge opportunity for NS to make more money from advertising. They would have to pay a developer quite a bit but they would make that back quite easily.

I develop for the iPhone part-time and would be willing to put a NS app (w/limited features recent news, read-only formum access) together for free.  Does NS have an API to access it's content?  If it doesn't, getting content would be the hardest part.  I'd have to screen scrape the site.

Having a mobile version of the site would be better because NS could reach more people (not just iPhone users), but the experience wouldn't be as nice as a dedicated native app.
