What grille would look better on my passat?

idk how many of you guys are into modiding out your cars, but i just thought id ask your opinion on what you think looks better...

one is black chroms and tho other is matte black.. kind of hard to picture, but ill try and find a pic of someone elses car with them on

chrome fo sho but personally i woudnt do it its a huge waste of money and ur car by the looks of it is pretty much stock and u dont wanna look like a ricer and/or mex

i'm not a fan of aftermarket grilles that still have a big ol VW badge on them. but if you want to go matte black, you'd need to strip the chrome (repaint, vinyl, w/e) on the door mouldings and window sills to "complete" the look. that would look pimp, but take a lot more time (though not a lot of $) to do. just my 2 cents.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of badges all over a car.  And I don't really like the all black grill either.  A quick google search produced this one, which I am a big fan of.

yup LP = lake placid.

but im not planning on spending more than $300 on ski gear this coming season, unlike in past years where ive spent a minimum of about $700.

so i figure i would put some $$ into my car. im installing the cold air intake on friday night and already have hidden blue LEDs throughout the interior and exterior...

i like the matte one too though. and its not as expensive as you might think

The blue lighting is dope! But if I were to get anything I would go for some bigger rims (if you have the money). The stock grill looks fine to me.

I would personally go with the debadged grill as I feel it creates a cleaner look throughout the car.

yeah i knoww. it sucks.

my other option is to trade this in for $$ and buy the same car but a standard, or trade it straight up. i think i may do that.

and as for new wheels, thats gonna be my graduation gift i hope

do the matte your self, its REALLY easy i did it to my car although i have a saab not a dub.

just start with like 1-150 grit sand paper, tehn do 2-250, then 35-400 grit, till its good and marked up, shouldnt take more than 45mins for all that, then get some self etching primer in a spray can, sparay a coat or 2, what ever it calls for. then get some matte black, or which ever shade you want, 3-4 coats of that,a dn some spray on clear coat/clear spraypaint on top with a couple coats of that and you have the same grill for like 20$ instead of $100+

i can grab a pic of my grill which i recently did but not for a couple days, gotta get the film processed

Be a real man and do a manual swap. don't trade in your standard, just do it yourself.

I'd go with the matte, not a fan of chrome.

Go with the badgeless.. not such a huge fan of chromed out plastic plus the badgeless one has a euro tub so you can slap on a euro plate and get all the bitches. Check out vwvortex.com too, the guys on there are helpful as fuck and have sick cars
