He gets paid very very well, he's the only skier who's dropped oakley twice. dropped J.Lindberg for Cross, who gave him another signature line, it's safe to assume everytime he switched companies it was partially because they were offering more money.

Don't forget he's sponsored by some of the biggest companies in the sport; redbull, POC, Head... you get the point.

Jon is probably the most marketable skier in the world, he super consistant with his tricks, he pioneered modern double flips, for christs sake he has two filmers following him around right now.

there is one more thing you should know though, Jon is European, specifically Scandinavian. Freeskiing is a much more marketable sport over there, as compared to America. If you take any one of the American pros and make them Scandinavian, they would immediately get a pay bump.

Not nearly as many people in say California give a shit about skiing as compared to say Norway, or Sweden. More people caring, higher reimbursements for the faces of those sports. Same reason Tom Brady would not get the same treatment in Trysil as Boston.

He's also one of the most hardworking, professional, and innovative skiers in the industry.

He puts together the best competition, and, as seen in his video blogs, handles everything - including what skiers go in what hotel rooms and such.

I think he deserves every penny he gets from sponsors.

After watching what's going on @ JOSS, I think he deserves whatever $$ he gets. The whole event is sick. If skiing needed a poster boy (like Shawn White is to snowboarding), Jon Olssen would be it. Such a classy, professional dude, it's awesome
