im getting a new ipod soon was wondering what are the pros and cons on the classic ipod and the ipod touch those are the two i am deciding between thanks

i would go classic. just cause of storage purpose. but i do have a touch (it was free with my MAC) and its nice when i dont want to pay attention in my pit classes at school.

ever hear of rockbox?

and to whoever said you can switch up the music if you have more that 16 gigs on your computer.. it gets to be a bitch. i listen to a whole shitton different types of music, and sometimes i wanna hear stuff, and its not on my ipod. and i get sad.

I suggest expanding your horizons and looking at MP3 players other than iPods.  I have a sweet (albeit old) Creative Zen Vision: M.  I've had it for 4 years, never had a problem, whereas my friends are going from iPod to iPod to iPod...not because they break them, but because the iPods just die or have other problems. 

Seriously, look at other options, don't just go with something because everyone else has one.
