Colorado State, Boise State, or the university of Utah?

i got accepted to all of them but i do not know what one to go to.
I live in SLC and have passes to snowbird alta and PC.
the resorts are about 30 minutes away from my house.
the UofU would be the best choice for skiing but i really want to get out of Utah.
Boise is close to skiing but is a small town.
Colorado State University is in fort collins which is 2 hours away from skiing but is kind
of close to Denver which is a cool, big, city. Any opinions?

Boise's not really a 'small town'.  Boise itself has 200,000 some people and the area has almost 600,000. The skings not too bad, and the closest hill is only like 45 minutes from campus, with better mountains a little farther away, in the 2 hour range. The downtown area is pretty fun and there is some cool stuff to do.

sweet. are the classes hard because there are so many people in it? how many days of skiing do you get in? i wont know anyone if i go out there haha so will i make friends quick? ha

The 100 classes are pretty big, but that doesn't make them harder it depends on the teacher like all schools. If you have a chance to do key academic community I would do it (I did it this year) it gives you more support in the class that pertains to your major and only about 20kids in your class..what major are you thinking about? Also key makes it really easy to meet people. But you will make friends easily everyone is in the same position as you the first year so people are pretty open..nothing like high school. I made my schedule with Fridays off so i go up 3 days a week. The drive really isn't bad

i had the exact situation two years ago...  as much as i wanted to get out of utah, i didn't want to leave the snow. the snow was and here i am, loving it.  figure out what you want from your school i guess.

CSU is pretty sweet, but it is a pretty long haul to any resorts, but not too bad if you go on the right days. And I go to Cameron Pass, which is close(right up the Poudre Canyon about an hour) and a blast. Also, depending on your major, the classes are not too bad. And every teacher I have had has been helpful when I needed it.

Also im from MA so i didn't know a single person and I had no problem meeting people..I've realized that the out of state kids are so open to doing shit and most CO kids don't give a shit about hiking/camping/skiing/climbing and all that..90% of my friends here are out of staters..so many more activities to do here than just skiing to..FoCo is so dope

yeah i am not sure what my major is going to be yet, maybe business. is csu or bsu a big party school? 90% of my friends are mormon and about 90% of them don't party. haha i need to get out and party more.

dont come to boise
skiing sucks, 2 hrs away is far far far from what your used to. The campus is shitty. I gusess there might be alot of things to do but no more than slc, prob less.

im a business major..if you go to CSU, do key, and are a business major you will have one of the best teachers at the school..as far as parties the first day at CSU a senior came up to me and my friends drove us to his house supplied us with endless beer it was so dope..also fellow ns'ers will be welcome at my house next year to party..Also if CSU doesnt cut it for you just drive to CU for parties..although the last few parties ive gone to there have been full of fags..literaly

slc has at least 7 better resorts than anything youll find within like 3 hours of boise.
and tamarack is no closed. I guess if your a bc skier theres some sick stuff but other than that.

the drive from csu is lame, but everything else is sweet. plus if you go to college in colorado you can get a season pass to copper and winter park for 205 bucks. and we can drink real beer, no 3.2 garbage like in utah

Well if you want to leave Utah I would recommend CSU.  I like Fort Collins a lot and the size is just right.  I was there all this weekend, always a good time.  Plus there are a ton of breweries and such where you can get real, great beer if you want to.

I've never been to Boise State, but if it helps I have a good friend from Idaho who tells me CSU is much better.

csu, it only takes like 20 more minutes than boulder to get to summit county, it usually takes about an hour 40 to get to keystone. and fort collins is an awesome town, way better than boulder.

hows the student life at the u of u?! i was out there a little bit ago and nothin was goin on on campus but is there other stuff that the kids get into or wat?! im between the u of u and yale and seriously cant decide and i think its gonna come down to student life

Did you try UNR?  Not far from a lot of good skiing.  It would be similar to what you are used to.  Reno is a big city with a lot of night life.  If it is too late, then I would do U of U, but CSU if you really want to get out of UT.

Boise is fun lived there... U of U is the sickest truly! so many ski resorts close, but they are expensive, rad business program sick campus so much to do, such cool kids. I have only heard good things about CSU tho too but its too far from the mountains! U of U is your best choice.. and Tammy maybe back in business soon rumor has it Donald Trump is buying it once the debt clears! Boise by far has the best night life/ bar scene...

CSU is a great place, and skiing is doable for sure.  SLC is as you know the place for snow.  If you want to get out of Utah, CSU is a good stop.
