Neon and aerials is to us, as we are to ?

A while ago it was cool to wear that one piece gaper-screamin' neon rainbow suit with the 190cm skis huckin' triple backs. We all know how skiing is today, as far as the skiing itself goes AND the lifestyle. But what's it gunna be like in 30 years? I'm guessin that it's gunna be kids with hesh steeze or kids wit sweatpants steeze reppin snowblades. jumps = gone (i don't mind that :P). There's gunna be big ass snowblade companies instead of companies like Line, Ninthward, Armada, etc. It won't be skiing anymore, it'll be blading on snow. Everyone will be doin blade grinds. I love blading, but blading and skiing are totally different sports, and it should stay that way.

What do you think it'll be like in 30-ish years?

All sports progress, then regress, the progress, then "go back to the roots".

Right now I think that park rat mentality is shifting to urban features and killer backcountry steeze.

Who knows, this year is the year of double corks, next year could be tripples.

Personally style > spin to win, but judges are old school.

As long as it keeps snowing in North America, Skiing will continue to progress. Ski companies that are based in Europe will destroy themselves because they will continue to focus on racing, and we all know that outside of northern michigan, racing in DEAD. If the higher-ups at these major brands would open their eyes and see that twin tips ski awesome, fat skis make skiing easier, and rocker really does work (just ask lib tech), we should continue to see progression in our sport. Its all about having the proper tools to progress. I live in Ohio and don't own a ski under 100mm under foot. If the industry keeps giving us reasons to buy gear, new stuff to make us ski better, skiing will continue to blow up.

LMFAO, ever heard of the Hannenkahm Downhill at Kitzbuhel? In terms of publicity, media coverage, crowd size and prize money, it makes the X-Games look like a backyard railjam in the middle of buttfuck nowhere.

Racing might not be your cup of tea, but that sure don't mean it is dead. Try looking outside of your little bubble for a change.
