MY SKIS FUCKING GOT STOLEN!!!!! im gonna rape the bastard who took them! they were '03 dynastar concepts! im buying trouble makers next week. but if i ever see the fucker skiing on my skis they'll be hell to pay.

my buddy had his 03 1080's stolen in jan. of last year and he got homeowners insurence to buy him a pair of 03 scratchs then the cops found the guys who stole the skis trying to resell them on ebay...so now he has two basically brand new skis for the price of one

People are assholes. I was at Mammoth last weekend and a snowboarder knocked himself unconsious on one of the big tables, and while he was lying in the snow, some punk kids took his wallet. Ultra-lame if you ask me.

if you get receipts for the skis & bindings and your parents have home owners insurance then you can have them send in a form covering your skis under that.

one thing i think you have forgotten to realize.. If you get insurance to pay for your skis (which could work out good, if your deductable is low enough), but if you put in a claim like this your premium is going to go up and i doubt your parent feel like paying a lot more a month for there insurance... Where were they stolen from? Not locked?

if your skis get stolen and you didn't lock them then you shouldn't bitch and whine! when ever im at a public hill i always lock my shit even though they're the old blue 1080's most of the time!

pipe_munky, that's kind of a skewed view of skiing. I agree people should be responsible with their gear but that's one of the cool things about skiing. Most people have a respect for other peoples shit and don't steal stuff.

^separating twin tips really doesn't do much good just because there's so few different models.....every time i've seen a split pair of twins this season all i've had to do is glance ina different direction to spot the other one

Yeah when my skis got stolen temporarely I asked my dad if homeowners insurance would cover them, but I guess we have a high deductible so our monthly payment is low. So my skis aren't covered under our insurance.
Most likely you'll see some kid riding them at your mountain or on ebay.

I always seperate my skis when I go to other mountains but when I am at mad river there is usually no reason just because everyone there is cool and friendly

Im really glad someone stole my skis, i wouldn't be into newschool at all if it hadn't been for them being stolen. I had just bought a copy of 13 and was racing a fair bit but still a bit of a newbie. my racing skis were stolen and i thought my life was over, then i had unsurance and picked up a pair of 1080's it was like way back in 2000, that was the best day ever. now im addicted to the skiing movement and it has taken over my life. sweet ass.
