Closest Skiing to DC!

unless you are into a 3.5-4 hour drive, check out Liberty,Whitetail, and Roundtop (all under the same management, 3 hills with one pass)
they are all under 100 miles away from DC(around hour and a half at the most), with liberty the closest at around 70-80
roundtop is my favorite mountain.  the feel and layout is alot less touristy than the other two and if they keep the park on par, it SWAMPS the other two.  there are also 10 times more free skiers there.
liberty is worth checking out too.

our season is usually late nov, early dec to the 2nd or third weekend in march.  a few hours north and the season is early nov-sometimes april, if we don't get screwed by rain(like this season)

but what i mean was that if you want big jumps and rails and more than one or two good parks go to boulder or 7 springs

RT had a legit 60 footer for the last weekend...probably the best jump out of all three resorts easily ever.

roundtops rails were off the chain for the last month they were open, and that is 1.5 hours, compared to 3.5
liberty is so close, that you can make it up for a 4 hour night shift, and it still is worth it.
for sure, boulder and the springs are better, but not practical.
and matt- roundtop is REALLY stepping it up!  KEEP IT THAT WAY.
