H.I Yellow lense is for low-light conditions (good for night skiing), and if you use them in the day, they will make the snow really bright for your eyes.
I would say Ruby Clear Iridium is the best one out of the two for snowy conditions.
yeah i got a peir of HI yellow last season and i figured out that i can not use them for any other conditions except night skiing (my eyes are very sensitive compared to alot of peoples) but stil even when i try using them on a low light, pow day i find myself having to squint unbarebly untill i literally have to stop and shade my eyes for a sec cause i cant even open them haha. has this happened to anyone else? i need to find a happy medium as well because my other lens is a fire which is too dark for alot of conditions.
I've never had it that bad, but they are definitely too light for anything other than really low light. You might try an orange lens; it's dark enough for sun, but will be better than most other lenses for low light.
I find it almost unbearable to use hi yellow in the lighter white out conditions and on rainy days. For me it really makes the snow a lot lighter. Emerald iridium works good for me in overcast and moderately snowy conditions, but I think I'm going to get something lighter like pink iridium or ruby clear for those really flat days.
