so for my birthday/next christmas i'm trying to convince my dad to take me skiing out west for my present. i've been to vail and beaver creek before, but i would like some suggestions for some sick skiing. i don't wanna go to whistler because the olympics would be there when i would probably go, and i think i would like to stay in the US. it would be awesome if you guys could hook me up with some suggestions

and i meant to say, i'm looking for powder primarily, because you can get good park in the east, good powder over here is hard to find

from the east and canada, so I have no sweet clue ... but you might want to check out some areas around the okanagan valley, which is in Canada I know, but not around olympic madness
I'm thinking like, revelstoke or big white??

the reason i don't wanna go to canada is not because of the skiing (ive heard amazing things about that) but because the american dollar sucks right now and since i'm asking for a present i don't wanna ask for something that expensive

the poster above had some good suggestions, try out Utah, I've been dying to go out there and I hear they get mad dumps of snow.

Girdwood Alaska, get your self a Chugach Powder Guide trip...the skiing is fucking righteous.  but with the volcano erupting and what not it might not be an option for a while
