Just dont sweat it too much. I just went to my first interview and the guy was pretty chill. Most employers are, unless your applying to work for microsoft or something. Just think about what your going to say, sit up in your chair, talk eloquently and bam. you got the job.

Speak up.  I interview teenagers for there first job like once a month.  Nothing aggrivates me more then someone who has no idea why they want a job.  If its a retail job be yourself and be able to hold a conversation.  Most retail jobs are all about being able to talk to people you dont know.

put on a button up shirt or a shirt with a collar... show up on time... make sure you have some general ideas of what to say, most likely questions:
why do you want this job?
what can you contribute to our team/staff?
what are some of your strengths/weaknesses?

and make sure you have some questions to ask at the end of the interview about the place youre working at, and ask when you can expect to hear back from them...

dress nice and nicely groomed (this includes decent shoes), be polite and respectful, be honest and smile.  at the end of the interview make sure to mention something along the lines of 'now that i've had a chance to find out more about the job (and got to talk to you in person) i'm even more excited to start working at ____, and i look forward to hearing from you' i found this works better than just saying 'thanks' and walking out,

if they ask for something bad about you, or a weakness, say youre a perfectionnist. it can go both ways... say you always like you have your hands full, you like accomplishing tasks and looking back at the work youve done.

besides that, make eye contact the whole time, talk clearly, a firm grip on your handshake....

What's the job?

There are LOADS of websites about this sort of thing but I'll give you a few pointers:

CONFIDENCE NOT COCKYNESS

POLITENESS

FIRM HANDSHAKE

KNOW THE COMPANY

HAVE QUESTIONS PREPARED (at least 3)

Remember - an interview is a 2 WAY thing. It's as much of an interview for you as it is for them. You want to find out if you REALLY want to work there, and they want to find out if they REALLY want you to work there.

Be someone who can be their friend, and someone they can work with.
