When you know your good enough for a local comp?

how do you determine when your good enough for your first local slopestyle competition? iv been wanting to enter one for a while now, but im just never sure how good you have to be. if there are no age groups, and the comp is just divided by gender, is there a right time or anything?

if you want to do it then do it, as long as you can land some tricks....who cares if you get last place? you are still going to improve every time you compete.

Yeah, as long as you are comfortable hitting the features and doing a few tricks, I'd say get involved, good times for sure!

compeating is sickk. just do it nomatter how good u are. u will learn a bunch of stuff form everyone riding too. really fun times.  u will probaly be more down with trying new things too. i learned alot of my tricks in comps.

i felt the same way at first it's not intimidating when your up there.i got intimidated when i heard GFA and kids from whiteface and stowe were coming to a comp at my mad small hill in NY. that was when i first started to compete. but i was up there with them .

If you can slide the rails start to finish and you can spin at least a three on the jumps I think you'll be fine.  If its two rails side by side and you can slide one start to finish but you can't do the other one, then thats not a problem because theres an alternate. 

But if you straight air the jumps or skip a rail then you need to work on that before you can compete.

By doing competitions. start small, a local event and then just start doing bigger comps.
