Today it was all singles line, myself and the slopes haha. It's quite nice to do that from time to time.
First chair up it was a lady and her family of 4 snotty nosed kids or whatever they were, and she slammed the bar down on my leg/shoulder ( i was sitting at the end) So whatever I just stare off to space and get ready to ski.
Next chair up was unbelievable. Once again, I was in the singles line and hoped on the chair with another family. The mother starts rambling about some guy named James or something, an expert skier who owned the blues and greens... I just looked forward haha. Keep in mind this is at Mary Jane (part of winter park in colorado) most of the runs are blacks with moguls. There's a couple cat walks etc... but not much else for beginner skiing. As we went up the Super Gage its over a blue/black and a black with moguls. Then the epic conversation comes up, the little girl asks where the moguls come from. I have heard a lot of stories from people on the lifts but this girls mom starts to explain to the kid that they have a groomer with an ice cream scoop type device on the back of it that shapes the moguls. She goes on to say ( all in a very serious manor) how they do it every night and its just this massive mogul making machine (that was just a bad ass alteration.)
