So i'm originally from Moscow but moved to the states when i was young. Most of the ski places my family has been have been on the western side of the country not far from the city.
My brother/a few friends have been discussing planning a trip to climb/hele in Russia. One area of interest that has cropped up has been Kamchatka: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamchatka_Peninsula
i'm wondering if anyone here has heard of anything about the area? lately been watching a lot of Doug Coombs, Jean Marc Boivin Bill Briggs, etc. and been inspired.
i'm hoping to move to alaska for a year after taking my MCATs and give Rainier a real go next year.
