Should I move to VT?

Is it worth it to leave Utah and go to UVM or St. Michael's next year? I got into both schools... but I can't decide if I should really leave all the fresh powder and the resorts twenty minutes away. Skiing is definitely a huge part of my decisionnnn

You didn't apply to any good ski schools out west?  I mean, You can be guarranteed less snow and denser snow when it does come in the east.  So adjust your expectations.  But if you're there full time, you won't miss a storm and when VT is on, its on.  Also, there's a big ski communtiy at both schools and some of the terrain in N. VT is amazing.  SO I think you should do it.  COme to the east to ski with an open mind for variety and you won't be disappointed.

its really fun here but shittt i definitely couldnt tell you moving here from utah would be the best idea, although the social atmosphere might be better in burlington, skiing out west is just a whole different story

 ya no..uvm and st.mikes are both good schools. but if you are used to skiing in utah you are going to die here, it doesn't even compare

also keep in mind that uvm, although an ok school, is having huge salary and budget cuts
so maybe that's not the best shool to be a freshman at

Hmm well I'm from right outside of Burlington and my twin brother currently goes to UVM and he likes it there and its a sick school, but Vermont skiing is nowhere near the skiing out here in Utah. If you love skiing stay out here, I'm glad I came to the U and won't go back to ski, infact I didn't even bring my skis back for a month during christmas break because it's just so shitty even skiing at Stowe and Jay....

yeah it depends on what youre going for.... like UVM has a great environmental program if youre interested in that.... but its also supposed to rain for the next 7 days and has already been raining for many.
