It's news to me, at least for NBA basketball. I get into college basketball as much as anyone, but I can't bring myself to watch the NBA. It's just not the same.

I'd rather ski than watch either, though...if only.

NBA is much better. The players are way more talented, better coached, and ridiculously athletic. It doesn't even compare

i agree with bepo. all college sports are not nearly as good as pro sports. though i do follow them closer than bepo, there is no way that theyre better in any way. look at reggie bush, hes pretty much a huge disappointment in the nfl, because in college, he played a bunch of amateurs, whereas now hes playing against tough opponents. and college basketball too. real talents comes straight out of high school, KG, lebron, kobe (i think), etc etc. the nba is much much better than college. its not fun watching 40 minute games end 60-55 like pitt beat xavier last night. it was pitiful

are u kidding the pitt xavier game was great. i was on the edge of my seat the whole game. and when fields hit that bomb three with 50 seconds left to take the lead i shit my pants. you dont like college sports because all the colleges in boston suck at sports.

actually, bc has consistently been a pretty good team in football. and remember they used to be a pretty big contender in basketball a few years ago. i just dont give a shit about college sports, i never like watching them. you forget that im 17 in a week and i started watching sports when i was around 6. the patriots sucked, the celtics sucked, the red sox sucked. yet i still watched them, cause it was fun and exciting, unlike college

Because in college ball they play defense, you'd never see a score of 129. 100's are rare, sure UConn beat Chatt by 60...

you are wrong. nba players play defense too. nba defenses would wreck college defenses. the reason why college games are scored so low is a) the game is 40 minutes instead of 48. and b), the main reason, college players are pitiful. their field goal percentage and and ball movement is just sad. i cant get myself to watch, because they miss by a mile on a wide open 3

No, I think I know what you're saying, it's kinda my opinion too.

For me, it's the whole attitude that goes with the NBA that I can't stand. Rather than teams playing to win and not for the money, it's one or two guys (Kobe, Lebron, whoever) doing it all for themselves. Obviously they're way better than college players, but for me not as much fun to watch, because I appreciate the team aspect more than one person's athleticism. So I can see why people like the NBA, because some of the stuff they do is amazing (don't get me wrong), but I don't.

Whoever is saying they play defense in the NBA has got to be kidding me, maybe late in the season and during the playoffs, but during the majority of the season you can just tell noone gives a shit, maybe a few players, like KG for example, try their hardest every night, but college players play with much more effort than pro players and i would much rather be able to watch good competitive play all season than just in the playoffs
