Someone think they could convert the footage files to mpeg or something similar? I REALLY want to participate in this contest however my trial version of adobe premiere pro isn't compatible with .mov files. I tried downloading a converter however the trial versions aren't converting the files 100% and I can load them into the editor.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

For people using final cut to edit, what settings are you using? It does'nt really specify size and aspect ratio. +Karma for help!

Can anyone explain why mine ended up so small within the media player on the recut page? Playing it through windows media player on my home computer shows a much better resolution and bigger video so I'm a bit confused why it got so small when I uploaded it ... ?

so i downloaded all three videos succesfully but can't get them out of .mov.  i only have windows movie maker and i really just wanted to play around, prob not even enter, but i cant get it to play.  i tried out tons of free conversion software to get the .mov to .avi, but nothing has worked.  any suggestions?

i could be wrong, but i don't think wmm accepts .mov files.  when i try to import the files it says the codec is not downloaded or w/e.

finally got it to work and threw together something in like half an hour.  had tons of fun even though all i did was cut clips together and put music to it haha.  i'd def love to get more into making edits.

yeah its crazy, they should try to undo some of the rogue votes (1's 2's even 3's) during the competition because it really effects the amount of people watching and voting for certain edits if its not in the upper top rated.  Good video's go unnoticed because of this.

maybe even a front page article getting people on NS to vote
