Photoshop Artists, Help with poster needed Karma++

I need to make posters advertising a school dance for student council. Most people just use magic marker, but i thought i would make a really cool poster in photoshop. I have photoshop cs3 and i am good at using it but im not very artistic. Any help or advice on how to make a kick ass poster?

Photoshop is sick yet Illustrator is way better.  You can make basically cartoons and crazy drawings...then with photoshop you can fix them up

word. and if you have both, never do text on photoshop. always go the graphics on photoshop then place the image in illustrator, and put the text over it.

Thats really sick, i think I'm going to use it, as well as a less silly poster too.

Where did you get the image, I think i am going to redo it in illustrator so i can print bigger
