I'm not an expert on FKS bindings, but I just got these baseplates and brakes from rossignol, so it wouldn't really make sense if they were missing the half moon piece.. so I think its there... if someone wants to post a pic of exactly what you're talking about i'll confirm...

just push the brake down and take a picture of the heel from the top and it'll show us what we're looking for
